Hello from CT!

Hello guys and gals,

Greetings from the library in the party-town of the suburbs, Simsbury, CT! So far this summer has been two parts detoxing from Short term, three parts chilling and playing frisbee and one part visiting other Batesies in CT! Ellie and I met up with some friends down by the shore and barely escaped the "severe thunderstorm warnings" when we were on a boat in the ocean and then driving home with no top on a jeep. yikes! t'was great though.

I'm REALLY excited for my month long farming expedition in Kingston, Washington though! It's a rural town, across the Puget Sound from Seattle. Yeah so I'm WOOFing (working on an organic farm with no pay, but I get to eat all their fresh produce and live for free on their property! sick deal). My farm "mother" told me I'll be living outside in a tent, cooking my own food and taking showers etc. all outside. The cleared a space for me in their woods, which is totally cool, however, she warned me that there are bears in the woods and I'll need to be careful.... SO.... if you hear of some freak bear attack in WA on the news, you'll know the details. haha I'm sure I'll be fine and my friend from home will be with me so it'll be a two against one battle. Fair, I think?

So looking forward to AESOP! Bates is amazing and I always miss it when I go away. Hope errybody is having a great summer!
